Few games companies can claim to have been so influential as Jaques of London has been for the 215 years in manufacturing high quality sports and game equipment. In our two centuries of business, we have invented croquet, Ping Pong, ludo, snakes and ladders, tiddley winks and - perhaps the games most synomonous with the Jaques' name - Happy Families and Snap.
With illustrations by Sir John Tenniel, chief illustrator of 'Punch' magazine and the original artist for Lewis Carrols Alice in Wonderland, the instantly recognisable faces of Mr Grits the Grocer, Mr Bun the Baker and all the other families have made Happy Families into a worldwide success.
