Petrus Kaerius (better known as Pieter Van Den Keere) was a refugee who fled from religious persecution in the Low Countries between the years 1570 and 1590. He moved to London and learned the skills as an engraver and cartographer from his Brother-in-law, Hondius, to become one of the prominent craftsmen of his day. The quality of his unique workmanship has stood the test of time to make his work highly collectable. w14.5 cm x h21cm.
